Athearn HO model of the SD45 in Santa Fe 'Kodachrome' livery

New bodyshell and the first time this loco has been available in the Ready to Roll range. The model has the usual Athearn all wheel pickup and all wheel drive and has the 'Quick-Plug' DCC decoder fitting feature. The Rix HO switch stand works directly off the throw bar of any type of turnout. The rotating 'target' turns through 90 degrees as the turnout moves.

BRAWA HO model of the DR heavy diesel electric locomotive Class 132. Built in the Soviet Union this was the first DR locmotive to have electric train heating. It was of about 3300 hp and worked freight trains and inter-city passenger trains throughout most of the fromer DDR. It was used on the cross border trains to Bebra and on Hamburg-Berlin trains up and after unification until electrifrication replaced them. Many of the locos still run today as DBAG's class 232.

Athearn HO axle gears Part No. ATH60024. Pack of 6 gears that fit on axle, designed for the Athearn SD40-2 but are a fit for the early Proto 2000 locomotives that suffered from the axle gears spliting causing loss of traction or 'jumpy' traction. Just remove the axle, pull out the stub axle with wheel from the split plastic gear, fit the replacement and refit the stub axles. These gears are made of better plastic than the originals and do not split.
